An EcoTimber floor is more than beautiful wood or bamboo flooring. Since 1992,
EcoTimber has been the only flooring company devoted to forest protection and
healthy homes. You can trust that an EcoTimber floor, no matter which one you
choose, meets the very highest environmental standards.
All hardwoods will change color with exposure to U.V. light and oxygen. With some species of hardwood,
this is barely noticeable. With others, the color-change is somewhat drastic. In the extreme examples of
color-change, the floor must be left to “mature” for approximately three months before furniture is
permanently placed in the room. This will allow for an even color maturation of the floor.
Nearly all hardwood products we offer are significantly harder than Northern Red Oak (1260 Janka). This
makes our line of hardwood a fine choice for both a residential and commercial applications. Our hard-
woods will be much more resistant to denting than nearly any species that are domestically available.
All non-inventory exotic wood flooring products are available as “special order” items, and require at least
60 days lead-time. Most reclaimed wood flooring products can be custom milled in a two to six week time
frame. We have the ability to source many hard-to-find items not listed in our marketing materials. Ask
your sales representative for more information.
